Jared Filer

Jared Filer graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Saint Joseph’s University, PA in 2020. As an instructor, he specializes in bass, guitar, and ukulele. During his time in college, he was a member of the university jazz ensemble and studied under the classical guitar program. In addition, he often performed in the pit orchestra for productions held by the SJU Theatre Company, such as Jesus Christ Superstar, The Who’s Tommy, and Next to Normal. Outside of his time at the university level, he has frequently gigged and recorded as the bassist of alternative rock band Brick Nova. His time with the band has brought him along the Eastern Coast of the United States, from Virginia to Massachusetts.

Jared’s approach to instruction incorporates dialogue, creativity, and kindness. In all of his lessons, he aims to help students achieve their individual goals while fostering an overall environment encouraging self-expression, knowledge, positivity, and love for the music and arts.
